Sophie Gillies was born and grew up in Cheshire, in the UK. After graduating in Law from University College London, she worked as a corporate lawyer in the City for a number of years. Sophie began writing during this time and after leaving the law she gained a Masters in Crime & Thriller Writing from Cambridge University.

The Life She Stole is Sophie’s debut novel. Sophie lives in Scotland with her husband, daughter, and miniature schnauzer, Coco.
